A plane crash while trying to land

A sad and heartbreaking scene as a serving Governor and atleast six other Government officials were killed in a plane crash. it was reported that among the victims of the Sunday air mishap was the governor of Gadaref, near the border with Ethiopia.  Also said to have been aboard the ill-fated plane were the Gadaref State Agriculture minister and senior security officials.The report did not mention the possible cause of the accident.                                                    
It has been reported that a helicopter has crashed in eastern Sudan, leaving top government officials dead. The crash killed a state governor and at least six other officials. According to reports, witnesses said the helicopter exploded in flames after it hit a communications tower as it tried to land in the remote Al-Qadarif state. No official reason has yet been given for the crash.
